Your instinct is good. Historic Chevreuse crêperie, family-friendly and memorable. Buckwheat galettes help with gluten, but cross-contact needs a direct question if the intolerance is medically sensitive.

Possibly the most memorable thing of the whole visit — and free. In Île-de-France it peaks around 20:17, low toward the west. Find a clear western horizon and use certified eclipse glasses.
Four things I would not accidentally plan
Étangs de Hollande: bathing is forbidden for all of 2026. La Terrasse de Sauvegrain: annual closure from 9–30 August 2026. Musée des Arts Forains: excellent idea normally, but the next advertised public themed visit is 26 August. Disneyland Paris: only if Disney itself is the priority; the resort warns of high-demand full dates, and current forecasts make the mid-week heat punishing.
